Sateri Launches Sustainability Policy
3rd, February, 2016 – One of the largest viscose staple fibre producers in the world has launched its Sustainability Policy today. Sateri’s Sustainability Policy spells out its commitments towards environmental protection and corporate social responsibility. The new policy complements its Sustainable Pulp Sourcing Policy launched in June 2015.

Sateri is currently China’s largest viscose staple fibre producer, its total production capacity exceeds 500,000 metric tones per annum. Sateri’s total investment in China to date has reached RMB 7 billion, covering its three operations in Mainland China including Sateri (Jiangxi) Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd., Sateri (Fujian) Fibre Co., Ltd. and Sateri (Jiujiang) Fibre Co., Ltd.
Sateri’s Sustainability Policy apply, without exception, to all third party wood pulp suppliers to Sateri. The policy covers three parts: Shared Value Creation, Energy Saving and Environmental Protection, and Employee and Community Care.
Sateri is dedicated to sustainability practices and has a strong commitment towards achieving a global supply chain of sustainable wood pulp. It was one of the early pioneers in China to sign the “First Manifesto on Establishing Green Enterprises”. Sateri Jiangxi also obtained Swiss-based Oeko-tex certification which confirms its viscose staple fibre products are free from harmful substances and comply with the human-ecological requirements under relevant regulations of the European Union. Sateri’s three operations in Jiangxi and Fujian are certified under ISO9001 and ISO 14001 for its environmental systems implemented at its mills. In 2015, Sateri’s operations in China received PEFC-COC Certification, a further testament of its high standards and support for sustainable management of forests and production of certified sustainable products.
